Waterford Schoolboys Football League U15 Development Squad Membership
Waterford Schoolboys Football League U.15 Development Squad will travel to Estoril, Portugal in July 2014 to participate in the Internationally renowned Iber Cup. (www.ibercup.com). Teams from over 50 countries worldwide travel to the Iber Cup with over 8,000 players and coaches involved in the week long tournament. Famous teams like Porto, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Liverpool, Juventus, Ath. Madrid, Inter Milan, Paris St. Germain among many others have participated in this tournament over the last number of years. WSFL U.15 team will be the first Irish team to participate in the U.15 tournament at the Iber Cup.
Many businesses around Waterford participated in a sponsorship draw with Lucozae (www.lucozade.com) coming out as the winning company. The squad are currently involved in the SFAI Inter-league competition will also preparing for the Iber Cup. The squad is made up of players from Villa, Bohs, Ferrybank, Ballinroad, Dungarvan, Carrick United, Piltown and Tramore. The squad have been training weekly since early October.
